Maths and Pāngarau Learning Area and Wāhanga ako
- Maths Knowledge Building Years 7 to 8
Supports teachers’ capability to deliver the Phase 3 teaching sequence, promoting improved student outcomes. Strengthen pedagogical content knowledge and confidence in planning and delivery for Years 7 to 8 teachers.
- Maths & Statistics PLD – Years 9 to 10
Focuses on strengthening mathematical and statistical understanding for junior secondary students, with strategies to support curriculum delivery and assessment.
- Poutama Pāngarau PLD – Tau 9 to 10
Designed to enhance teaching and learning in pāngarau (mathematics) through culturally responsive approaches that align with Te Marautanga o Aotearoa.
- Accelerated Maths PLD – Years 0 to 6 and Years 7 to 8
Provides targeted strategies for accelerating progress in mathematics for learners who need additional support, including practical classroom applications.
- Hāpai Pāngarau PLD – Tau 0 to 6 and Tau 7 to 8
Supports teachers in delivering pāngarau effectively in Māori-medium settings, with a focus on language, pedagogy, and culturally grounded practices.
English & Te Reo Rangatira Learning Area and Wāhanga Ako
- Secondary English PLD – Years 9 to 10
Aims to strengthen literacy teaching in English, including reading comprehension, writing skills, and critical thinking for junior secondary learners. - Te Reo Rangatira PLD – Tau 9 to 10
Focused on supporting the teaching of Te Reo Rangatira in Māori-medium settings, with emphasis on language development and curriculum alignment. - Targeted SLA & Writing PLD – Years 7 to 10
Provides strategies for supporting second language acquisition and improving writing outcomes for learners in Years 7 to 10.
