From 2024 Tātai Aho Rau | CORE Education will be providing professional development support for:
- provisionally certificated teachers (PTs) in English medium and Pia in Māori medium settings
- overseas trained teachers (OTTs) with provisional certification
- mentor teachers and Pou Tautoko.
This service is being refocussed to better meet the needs of mentors, PTs, OTTs, through improved and nationally consistent PLD guidance. It will recognise the additional cultural load often placed upon Māori kaiako and Pacific teachers and provide supports to reduce and or manage this burden.
Participants will have access to the appropriate supports to assist with gaining full certification and making a successful start to their teaching career in New Zealand.
