If you have an approved PLD proposal where you have chosen cultural capability as one of your PLD priorities, we suggest you allocate at least 25% of the approved PLD hours to an approved cultural capability facilitator.
This will ensure that teachers and kaiako have time to develop their cultural capability with an approved facilitator and can start to see shifts and changes in their teaching practice.
For example, a 120-hour allocation focused on local curriculum design and cultural capability would include a minimum of 30 hours allocated to an approved facilitator for cultural capability PLD delivery.
The PLD Lead could choose to allocate more than 25% if they wish.
If cultural capability is the only priority listed on the proposal, all hours will be allocated to an approved cultural capability facilitator.
