The Ministry of Education is looking for a provider to help deliver a professional learning and development (PLD) programme for teachers and education leaders in early learning services and schools with high numbers of Pacific learners.  

A Request for Proposal (RFP) is now open to providers for the delivery of Tapasā PLD. Providers whose professional development facilitators have expertise in delivering Pacific cultural competency are encouraged to apply. 

Deadline has been extended from 1pm, Tuesday 21 September 2021 to 1:30pm on Tuesday 5 October 2021.

 

About Tapasā PLD 

Tapasā PLD will help build cultural competency and develop effective teaching practices that support Pacific learner success. 

Tapasā PLD was announced in Budget 2021 and will be delivered in 2022 – 2024. It will be based on the Tapasā framework, which was designed to primarily support non-Pacific leaders, teachers and boards to engage with Pacific learners in culturally responsive ways. Tapasā helps deliver the vision of the Action Plan for Pacific Education to support positive outcomes for Pacific learners and their families.
