We are pleased to release the Advanced Notice to inform potential providers of an upcoming tender for entry to the National Professional Learning & Development (PLD) Panel to deliver regionally-allocated PLD. Regionally-allocated PLD supports the professional learning needs of a school, kura, Kāhui Ako or cluster based on the PLD priorities.

This RFP will be open for proposals in by the end of October 2021. More information can be found on the Government Electronic Tender Service (GETS) website. Potential providers will need to login via their supplier RealMe account to view the full notice. 

The Ministry is committed to raising the capability of the teaching workforce through professional learning and development, and regionally-allocated PLD providers are the external experts capable of supporting schools and kura across the country realise this goal.

We are also responding to the Ministry change programs being implemented from 2022, such as Aotearoa New Zealand’s histories and NCEA, where the demand for Local Curriculum Design, Assessment for Learning, Marau ā-Kura, and Aromatawai, Cultural Capability and Mātauranga Māori and te reo Māori will be high as schools and kura work through these changes and begin implementation. PLD Providers will be a key leaver to support schools and kura implement these changes.
