As some of you may have been aware, we planned to host a presentation to introduce the new priorities for regionally-allocated PLD at 10am on Monday 17 August 2020

Due to the changing national situation, we are aware that there may be more pressing concerns for many people in the sector. Therefore, we have made the decision to postpone this presentation to introduce the new PLD priorities.

Given the changing national situation, we would also like to share with you the Distance Learning Review Tool that we have previously mentioned.  Schools and kura might choose to discuss their experiences during COVID-19 and their capacity and capability for future scenarios of distance and blended learning with facilitators they are working with.

The tool was developed through the combined efforts of teams in the Ministry’s National Office, PLD providers and facilitators and a Sector Reference Group made up of both English and Māori Medium principals and tumuaki.

A copy of the tool is available to download here [DOCX, 85 KB]

At this time we hope to be able to reschedule this livestream in the near future and we will update you further next week with more information.
