Information on the professional support He pārongo mō te tautoko ngaio

The Ministry is making available professional learning and development (PLD) to support high-quality teaching and learning of mathematics and statistics and promote effective use of existing high-quality resources.

This mathematics and statistics PLD support is an extension of a small-scale project piloted by the Ministry in 2021, which utilised the Just-In-Time Maths model developed by The Learner First.

The model targets teachers and kaiako of learners in years 4-8 and supports them to further develop the mathematical and pedagogical content knowledge for consistent and effective use of existing high-quality resources, including those on nzmaths.

This support will be available for the 2022 year only and will be fully funded by the Ministry.
